The epilogue is known. For those who remember, the discovery of two bodies mummified by ice in the Vaud Alps made the headlines in the summer of 2017. They were a couple, Francine and Marcelin Dumoulin, who disappeared in the mountains, near Savièse (Swiss), on August 15, 1942 on the way to the alpine pasture. We also remember the emotion of two very old ladies upon discovering the remains of their parents 75 years after their disappearance. Dressed in white to pay homage to those they still called “Dad” and “Mom”, their voices broken by an emotion that had been suppressed for so long, they were the only two survivors of a family of seven children. So much for the real facts.
