The choice of destination is not a coincidence: in 2022, five houses had been built in Reims, within the Réma’vert Ecodistrict thanks to the development of cutting-edge technology: 3D concrete printing, like the ‘explain “The Parisian”. Two years later, Plurial Novilia, a social landlord, wants to repeat the experience… but this time with a three-story building, the walls of which will be printed directly on the construction site.
Save time
According to Jérôme Florentin, director of project management at Plurial Novilia, interviewed by the Ile-de-France daily, the technique used should make it possible to save 20 to 30% of concrete, while saving time on construction: “L 3D printing reduces lead times by two months compared to a traditional construction site. »
To verify these prospects, Plurial Novilia is having a “model” building built opposite the project, using a traditional construction method. The only downside: the method entails an additional cost of 35%.
