Creation of residents of Brusyanka, Toguchinsky district, Novosibirsk region VK Community (18+) about their village, where they actively communicate and exchange useful information. High-quality communications and the Internet appeared here thanks to the Rostelecom base station, built within the framework of the “Eliminating the digital divide 2.0” program.
“The main goal of our project is to create a platform through which farmers can sell their own products, artisans can show the results of their work, and readers can publish interesting stories about village life. The community’s audience is actively growing: there are about 150 residents in Brusyanka and more than 2.6 thousand people have already registered on our public page, ”said Maxim Ostanin, a native of Brusyanka and vice-mayor of the city from Novosibirsk.
Among other things, in the community, participants discuss issues of development of their village, exchange information about events in the Toguchinsky district and the Novosibirsk region, collect historical documents and share photos and videos from holidays in village.
“We live in a beautiful place, we are proud of our small homeland and love to read the news of the VK community “Brusyanka”. New technologies help us to quickly get the necessary information, communicate and educate ourselves,” said Anton Chepurnov, a resident of Brusyanka.
“The program to reduce the digital divide aims above all to improve the quality of life in rural areas. With the advent of modern telecommunications services, the local population has access to the same digital opportunities as in big cities. As part of the second stage of the project, we provided modern communications and the Internet to more than 120 sparsely populated areas of the Novosibirsk region,” said Nikolai Zenin, Vice President and Director of the Novosibirsk branch of Rostelecom.

Recall that Rostelecom is implementing the UCN 2.0 project commissioned by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation. Communications base stations are built in populated areas where between 100 and 500 people live. The list of villages is determined based on the results of voting by residents of the region on the portal of government services.
