For this 15e edition of the World Gaming Festival, the Chalosse Tursan media libraries have chosen a new format, extended to the entire territory, which will start this Friday, May 17 and end with a big party on Saturday, May 25. For Patricia Daugreilh, head of the game library division of the Chalosse Tursan media library network, it is always a popular event eagerly awaited by families.

Born from the desire of elected officials to extend this celebration to the entire community of municipalities, the new feature for 2024 will be the organization of two investigation evenings, entitled “Her name is Râ”, for an audience from 16 years old. Supervised by the Yeast Games association, 15 participants, investigators for an evening, will have to solve a stream of puzzles. It will be Friday May 17, at 6 p.m., at the Hagetmau media library and Tuesday May 21, at the Geaune media library.

Games and shows

Saturday May 25, at 10 a.m., the Game Festival will run its program around the theme of sustainable development, in the Jacobins convent, in Saint-Sever. Introduction to role-playing games by La Seigneurie des trois rivières and to chess games by the Chalossais Exchequer of Hagetmau, truant games, retro gaming (arcade, video games), escape game “Before the Apocalypse”, werewolves with K Ludo Cadets, a great “Seek and Find” game hosted by Matthieu Marchand, makeup, early childhood area, inflatable structures… There will be something for everyone.

At 11 a.m., the Soleil Nuit company will perform “Noémie and the mystery of the chrysalis” for the little ones. At 4 p.m., the artists will return with a family show “À table”. This free event, organized with the support of the City and the Department, aims to promote gaming for all and by all. Isn’t it “the child’s work, his profession, his life” as Pauline Kergomard, founder of nursery schools in the 19th century, saide century ?

So it would be a shame for families and their children to do without it. Please note that it will be possible to quench your thirst and eat (small meals) at the stand of the Clin d’œil social grocery store. Free admission.
