Street culture festival kicks off in Kursk as part of Youth Day

The Youth Day celebration will last all weekend. Today, June 28, in the Potok creative industries cluster there were places for breaks, training and street art. The entire territory of the cluster has become a platform for the performances of Kursk parkour masters.

Before the event, a gathering of young artists was announced in the festival group. The organizers invited Kursk residents to paint the city streets.

“We wanted to see real street art artists,” they specify.

Thus, the festival guests had the opportunity to observe in real time how “street art” was born. Some of the spectators were also able to try their hand at street art. They were offered to paint huge barrels with spray cans. The best art objects were to become part of the loft-style interiors of urban recreational spaces. The artists themselves were to receive awards.

“I really like the format of the festival, the fact that newcomers had the opportunity to learn the basics and learn the secrets from experienced participants,” said Diana, 15, who came to the festival with her friends and her sister. – We will come here too tomorrow. We want to try ourselves as models. There are a lot of cool photographers here, you shouldn’t miss this opportunity!

Tomorrow, June 29, the second day of the festival will take place in Potok. Residents of Kursk will be invited to participate in fashion reconstruction and skateboarding competitions of all styles. Performances by scooter enthusiasts will also take place here.
